Vitature® Supplier Network Growing Rapidly—Now Includes Over 300 Registered Suppliers!
Published June 21, 2018
At Healthnotes®, we’re all about recognizing milestones, and you don’t stay in business for 20 years without hitting a lot of them. Two years ago, when we launched Vitature—the cloud-based compliance management solution built for the supplement industry—little did we imagine the Vitature supplier network would grow so rapidly, and that we’d be celebrating registering over 300 suppliers so soon!
Vitature offers the industry an invaluable resource: a centralized, scalable platform for finished goods manufacturers and raw material suppliers to collaborate on compliance across the supply chain. The success of this innovative technology hinges on the engagement of suppliers and manufacturers committed to transparency and compliance, which is why we were so pleased with the adoption of Vitature by Arizona Nutritional Supplements (ANS).
The VP of Supply Chain at ANS, Matt Spicer, and his team use Vitature to manage their supply chain compliance and forge relationships with new suppliers. ANS requests that new suppliers register with Vitature before formally engaging with them; this registration step gives their team the information they need to determine if they want to move forward with the qualification process. Vitature then allows them to qualify a material from a registered supplier in one platform.
Spicer says that, “With Vitature, we can more efficiently manage the qualification process and reduce the back-and-forth emails that become a burden for us and our suppliers. We now have better tracking and insight into our supply chain and the state of compliance around a material or supplier. We are also using the Vitature supplier and ingredient databases to help us find new sources.”
When we talk with suppliers, they tell us they’re overwhelmed by the volume of emails requesting regulatory documentation and that receiving qualification forms in multiple formats slows the qualification process. To solve this, Vitature was designed around the Standardized Information on Dietary Ingredients (SIDI™) Protocol, which standardizes information shared between suppliers and manufacturers. This means that, with Vitature, suppliers and manufacturers collaborate directly, reduce email, standardize information exchange, and gain visibility into requests. With all the information organized and accessible, ANS can more efficiently assemble and provide a document package to their customers for each formula.
We look forward to many more milestones down the road. In the meantime, if you’re a supplier, register for your free account and join the growing group of suppliers committed to transparency.
